  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 2 (4-hole) bagel pans and set aside.

  • Place the beef and the cubes of chicken into a large skillet. Sauté over medium high heat while stirring often until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink.

  • Place the cooked beef mixture into a blender. Add the rest of the ingredients and puree until smooth.

  • Divide the mixture into the prepared bagel pans and bake in the oven for 16-22 minutes or until the bagels are cooked through. Remove from the oven and allow the bagels to cool in the pan before removing. NOTE: if you underbake them, they will shrink.

  • Store extras in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Can be frozen for up to a month.

Crispy Sticky Asian Chicken Wings

If you haven’t noticed, I do not allow advertising on my site.

I just didn’t agree with some of the products that were advertised. They were keto products, but they were unhealthy and I would never personally eat most of the products. It was hard to say no to blog advertisements; they pay thousands of dollars a month, but I just feel uncomfortable about having the products I didn’t recommend on my website.

Crispy Sticky Asian Chicken Wings

  • Place a piece of parchment on a rimmed baking sheet.

  • Dry the chicken wings well with paper towels.

  • Place the wings in a large bowl and add the baking powder, salt and pepper. Toss to combine so there is a light coating all over each wing. Discard any remaining coating.

  • Place the wings in a single layer on the baking sheet with skin side up. Set in the fridge for 30 minutes.

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  • Bake for 30 minutes until the wings are golden and crispy. Take out of the oven to cool slightly.

  • While the chicken wings bake, prepare the sticky Asian sauce. Place all of the sauce ingredients into a saucepan, stir and bring to a boil. Allow to bubble for 5-10 minutes until the sauce reduces and thickens slightly (it will thicken as it cools). Remove from the heat.

  • Place the wings in a large bowl and very carefully pour over the sticky sauce. Toss to combine. Garnish with green onions sliced ​​on the diagonal.

The BEST Homemade Deli Meat

So many of you are loving my easy Homemade Deli Meat recipe, I couldn’t wait to share my new and improved BEST homemade deli meat recipe with all of you!

HOW TO MAKE THE BEST DELI MEAT IN AN INSTANT POT

If you don’t want to go through the trouble of boiling a pot of water for an hour, you can use an Instant Pot!

Spray 2 wide mouth canning jars with avocado oil spray and place the pureed chicken into them. Put on lids onto the jars. Pour a cup of water into the bottom of the Instant Pot. Place a trivet into the bottom and place the jars on the trivet. Press Manual and pressure cook for 20 minutes. Once finished, place the jars in the fridge for 8 hours before removing and slicing.

TIPS ON MAKING HOMEMADE DELI MEAT

As you can see in my photos of my easy homemade deli meat, I have a lot of holes. This is user error. I should have pressed the pureed chicken into the meat press as I added it. After I made a few batches, I found that when I packed it tightly, I didn’t get the holes.

This is why I also decided to add Further Food gelatin to the deli meat!

Further Food gelatin made the deli meat really tender and the texture was just like store bought deli meat but with a much fresher flavour.

I always stock my pantry with Further Food gelatin and collagen! They have so many different flavors of collagen that really make my recipes extra delicious! I know it looks crazy, but I seriously use Further Food in most of my recipes!

The BEST Homemade Deli Meat

Prep Time 10 min

Cook Time 1 hr

Course Carnivore, Dairy Free, Egg Free, Nut Free, PSMF Recipes

  • Place the chicken, water, gelatin, salt and seasonings into a food processor and pulse until smooth.

  • Spray the inside of the deli meat press with avocado oil spray and place the mixture into the press. Press down firmly.

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Place the meat press into the water and boil on a low simmer for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 158 degrees F.

  • Place the unopened container in the fridge for 10 hours or overnight. Remove and slice. Enjoy as a sandwich with my protein sparing bread recipe or dehydrate in an oven or dehydrator for 6 hours on lowest temperature (155 degrees F) to make protein chips!

Keto Peanut Butter Cups Protein Chaffles

My peanut butter cup protein chaffles are not only awesome for all of you, but for your children! If you have children who are picky eaters and don’t eat enough protein, make them protein packed peanut butter chaffles! Better yet, have your children make them!

Yes, these chaffles are so easy, your children can make them! Kids are more likely to eat something new if they make it!

These easy protein chaffles are only 4 ingredients; eggs, gelatin, Equip protein powder and baking powder!

Keto Peanut Butter Cups Protein Chaffles

Prep Time 4 min

Cook Time 4 min

Course Bread, Breakfast, Dairy Free, Dessert, Nut Free, Snack

Cuisine American

  • Preheat chaffle maker.

  • Place the eggs, Equip peanut butter, gelatin, and baking powder in a medium bowl. Use a hand mixer on high to combine until light and fluffy.

  • Grease the chaffle maker with avocado oil spray and place 2 tablespoons of batter into the chaffle maker. Close and allow to cook for 2 minutes or until cooked through and slightly crispy. Remove chaffle and repeat with remaining batter.

  • Meanwhile make the chocolate protein syrup by placing the softened cream cheese into a small bowl. Use a fork to loosen the cream cheese. Add the chocolate Equip and stir well to make a paste. Slowly add in the unsweetened coconut milk and stir well to combine. Add stevia glycerite and stir well. Taste and adjust sweetness to your liking.

  • Place the chaffles onto a plate and drizzle with chocolate protein syrup.

  • Store extras in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Can be frozen for up to a month. To reheat, place into a 350 degree F oven (or a warm chaffle maker) for 2 minutes or until heated through.

St. Patrick’s Day is coming and you all know I love to make the holidays fun for my boys!

This year my son Kai wanted to try Irish Cream so right away I jumped into the kitchen and made the most delicious keto Irish Cream (which was with heavy cream) but then I thought why not make a lighter version for a protein sparing Irish Cream ?

Both the keto Irish Cream and my protein sparing Irish Cream were an absolute hit, I had to share these recipes with you!

HOW TO MAKE PROTEIN SPARING IRISH CREAM

To make my protein sparing Irish Cream, I used peanut butter. Equip Prime Protein powder!

Small business confidence remains low

Retail has reported the lowest level of long-term optimism among industries (41.2) – the seventh month in a row that the index has fallen below 50. A recent CFIB study found that given these opinions, 94% of small firms want the federal government to address rising costs when parliament reconvenes on Monday.

“We’re hearing from members who are concerned about their future and where the economy is headed as they continue to deal with pandemic debt, increasing taxes, inflation and labor shortages,” said Corinne Pohlmann, Senior Vice-President of National Affairs at CFIB .

Reducing the total tax burden (92%), ensuring that labor laws are sensible for enterprises (90%) and assisting employers in dealing with labor shortages (77%) are other issues that small businesses want to see prioritized.

“These challenges are having a crippling effect on their revenues, ability to grow and mental wellbeing. Small businesses need some reprieve,” Pohlmann said.

In a letter to members of parliament, the CFIB urged that the government implement several fiscal relief measures to assist small businesses, including the introduction of a focused Employment Insurance (EI) premium credit for 2023. For qualifying companies, the credit would bring premium costs down to the same level as those paid by their employees.
