What do you think entrants could do over the year to keep drafting an award submission simple?

To keep drafting an award submission simple, entrants should keep track and proof of the efficiency of their system throughout the year. They also need to think about continuous improvement and how to improve HSE performance.

What advice would you give to organizations considering entering the RoSPA Awards for the first time?

The RoSPA Awards is a long term process, it reflects the effectiveness and commitment of an organization in terms of HSE. My advice is to focus on improving the HSE performance of your organization and the Awards process will be naturally delivered to those who can demonstrate this efficiency.

How would you convince organizations not entering the RoSPA Awards to start entering?

RoSPA is a well-known organization for the prevention of accidents, it helps companies to improve their HSE performance based on the continuous improvement approach. Following RoSPA guidelines is a guarantee to work in the right direction for the management of HSE. In addition, the achieved internal and external recognition will be motivating for all interested parties.

How To Lose The Extra Kilos In A Week

The biggest mistake we make when we make the decision to finally start this diet that can make our lives a little harder, is that we lean on things that end up bringing us the opposite results. What are we trying to say? A smart tip if you want to lose excess weight in a few days is not to frantically avoid sweets and carbohydrates, but to drop small “bad” habits. The idea is not to overdo it, which can also be a strong psychological burden for us, but to follow advice that will actually bring radical changes over time. In particular, if they are combined with regular exercise of 20-30 minutes, which increases your muscle mass, you will lose the extra kilos and the result will justify you.

Avoid excessive consumption of bread

Sure, the simple solution for those days when we don’t have the stamina to cook or maybe are not even in the mood to order something is to end up eating, mostly toast or various sandwiches, with what we have in the fridge. It would be good to try their abstinence, because too much bread has always not been our best friend, and to try to replace it with a tortilla, for example. Of course, we should pay a little more attention to our ingredients, including vegetables, but without high-fat foods or sauces, such as mayonnaise. It would be even more ideal if you could reduce carbohydrates, by allowing them in at least 2 out of 3 meals and try new simple protein-based recipes.

Satisfying breakfast

Mornings seem like torture to get up and go to the kitchen even more. That’s why we usually neglect meals that don’t fill us up, just to avoid this inconvenience. You must know that in order to achieve your goals, you must give special “care” to each of your meals, not to mention breakfast, which is the most important. A suggestion, that will provide you with few calories, but at the same time will make you feel full for the rest of the day, so you will not digress, and also is an excellent source of protein, is undoubtedly eggs. Put an egg together with 1-2 egg whites in the non-stick pan and you will see that it is not as difficult as you think.

Go sugar free

A large percentage of people drink at least 2 to 3 coffees per day, so consider also adding white sugar, which is equivalent to 20 calories. For example, if you start drinking your beverage moderately and less sweetly, you will automatically save 60-180 calories per day by cutting out the sugar. If you do not like this abstinence at all, you can also use the brown variety, but again, watch the amount. And if you add milk, ask for low-fat milk and not whole milk, as this is also responsible for the extra calories.

Eat your veggies

Losing excess weight, is associated with eating greens, which are anything cut from trees and plants. Fill the fridge with different products, even those you don’t know, and lots of salads and experiment with recipes that you can execute. In this way you will be able to acquire a healthy routine and give a real foundation to these foods. In this way you will be able to cheat here and there and have a balance between. Also, drink plenty of water; this will help you feel full.

How Do I Escape My Non-Compete Clause?

In healthcare, there has been a large expansion in non-compete clauses. Many of our clients would like to find a way out of their non-compete clause when looking to leave their current employment.

The first way to avoid breaching a non-compete clause is to have your attorney negotiate a contract without a non-compete clause before beginning your employment.

Sometimes, non-compete clauses are unavoidable. So what can you do in that situation?

Make sure you understand the language of your non-compete. Are there any exceptions? Were any hospitals carved out or possibly an exception was made for entering into private practice? If you are looking to waive a non-compete, first have a healthcare attorney carefully review the provision for possible exceptions. You can also attempt to provide services that are not included in the language of the non-compete.
Propose an amendment waiving the clause. We often work with clients who entered into non-compete agreements to help them see if they can enter into an amendment waiving their non-compete. Sometimes this is as simple as having a discussion with your employer and preparing a short amendment to your contract. However, sometimes complicated negotiations take place to come to an agreed compromise.
Litigate the clause. This would be an extreme course of action, however, we have litigated non-compete clauses for our clients. While we don’t typically recommend litigation, there are exceptions to every rule. Litigation is costly and there is no way to know if the non-compete clause will be deemed reasonable or not. If it is reasonable, you will have spent time and money on a court case and still have to abide by the non-compete clause. However, if your clause is truly unreasonable and prevents you from earning a livelihood, it is worth discussing litigation with your attorney. Sometimes you will be forced to litigate if your employer sues you for breaching the non-compete, if they believe you are in breach.
Work outside of the clause. While this may not be what you want to hear, sometimes it is essential to work outside the geographical limitations during the restricted time period. Once that time is up, you can start working in the area that was previously restricted.

Some of our clients ask us if they can simply risk it and ignore the non-compete provision. This is a very risky strategy, as the employer might sue them to breach and start a costly court battle. There might also be other clauses that this would trigger in the contract, such as indemnification.

Whatever the case, all non-competes are different and we always recommend meeting with an experienced attorney prior to agreeing to a non-compete or trying to work around a non-compete.
